Privacy

Hey MV is run by Synthera Systems in the Maldives. This is what the app keeps about you and why.

What we keep

• Your phone number and name. Your number is how you sign in. Partners and businesses see your first name only.
• Addresses you save, so orders and parcels reach you.
• Your orders, rides, parcels, bookings and listings, so you can track them and see them in your activity.
• Your wallet history. Every top-up, payment and refund is kept as a permanent record, as money records must be.
• Messages you send in Hey MV chats, and photos you upload to listings, reviews or your profile.
• Reviews you give and receive.

What we never see

Card numbers. When you pay by card you type it on the bank's own secure page, never into Hey MV. We receive only whether the payment worked.

Location

The customer app asks for your location only to suggest nearby places and set a pickup point. Partners share their location while they are online and on a job, so customers can follow their order. Nobody is tracked while offline.

Who sees what

A business sees what it needs to fulfil your order: your first name, the items and, for deliveries, the drop-off. A partner sees the pickup and drop-off for the job they accepted. Synthera staff can look up an account to help with a problem, and every such action is recorded under their name.

Your choices

You can edit your name and addresses in the app at any time. To close your account, ask in the app under Account, then Help.
